Finally made it to the "U"s in the library--what absolue luck to find Beautiful Lies--the best book I'ver read in ages. Lisa, you are a true poet. I love your insights into the thoughts and feelings of Ridley. As the mother of two adopted kids, it really struck home. I love your style--can't wait to read the next one. Am going back looking for your statement on resentment--it reallly struck home--will probably read the book again looking for it!

Waiting to fly to Phoenix Thursday, I happened across Beautiful Lies - I thought this looks interesting and took a chance on it. I'm glad I did. I was finished before I arrive in PHX. Thanks for sharing your writing with us - I left the book on the US Airways jet to share with the next person. Thanks again

Lisa,

Just finished “Sliver of Truth”, it took me less than a day to read it, meanwhile my poor husband kept trying to talk to me the whole time. And all he got was an “um hm” and I have no clue as to what he said to me, except for “Boy that must be some book!” Now both he and my son want to read your books. That is a first and a great compliment to you, because they usually find my reading interest lies into categories for women only….
I loved S of T, but was sad to say good-bye to Ridley, and once again , I did not want your story to end. While capturing the reader’s complete, interest you also managed to make the reader have to figure out the puzzle right along with Ridley, how brilliant is that??? And this reader wants to know, will we be seeing more of Ridley? I look forward to BLACK OUT, but I know when I am finished, I will be sad to have to wait for your next book. Thanks for pursuing your dream to become a writer, you have a wonderful gift, and I am glad that you are sharing it -Melissa

I have just read truth - not what I usually expect in fiction! I am referring to your paragraph that starts
"When you start to really know someone, all his physical characteristics disappear .
(page 149 of Beautiful Lies -
pub under the VIntage Crime and black lizard)

I am very loyal to those who use words well and I will read anything you write. I will also share your skills and name with everyone I know who reads. Thank you for sharing such wonderful insights with your readers.

AND ALSO - nice website!

I started reading Blackout this morning. and I have just finished this evening! I am so excited to read a book that is engaging and is compelling to think about. even after I have finished the book! This is a great, story and is also beautifully written. I feel as though I recieved a wonderful present today.
I have also read Beautiful Lies and then immediately read Sliver of Truth. I believe Lisa Unger is well on her way to a huge following! I have never looked up to find out about an author before. I am so impressed with the depth that is in these novels. These are characters that stay with you. :)
